Justin, Phil Davis (Vineyard Liason), Rick and Louis

Forge Cellars is a partnership between 3 like-minded and passionate friends:

1. Louis Barruol – Vigneron/Proprietor of Chateau Saint Cosme in Gigondas (Rhone Valley) France
2. Rick Rainey – French/Domestic Brand Manager and Sales Educator for Winebow Inc. (wine importer-distributor)
3. Justin Boyette – Winemaker/Partner of Hector Wine Company in Hector, NY

This project took 3 years to realize but the intent has always been clear – to make the best Riesling and Pinot Noir possible from the Finger Lakes of New York.  From the very beginning we asked ourselves, “If we are diligent, disciplined and stay committed to doing the best work possible, what levels of quality can we realize in this unique cool climate region?”

Mother Nature gives us the ingredients and therefore the possibilities.  It is up to us what we do with them.
